Since l left school in May (l finished), l have been going bed around 3-4am in the morning, and getting up at 2-3pm and am still tired in the day from oversleeping so l stock myself up on Coffee. If I am not following a schedule then my natural sleep cycle is 4 am until about 12 noon. Those are the hours I keep when I'm on vacation and not being a slave to the clock. It's difficult to transition back. I get up at 6 am for work days and sleep around midnight. It's not enough sleep, I know. But it's about the best I can do. I can't do early nights, either. The keyword is routine. A wind down period may help you. Maybe a warm bath with a relaxer like epsom salts? You start feeling like tenderized meat and very relaxed.
