How do I create movement in a drawing?
Q. I'm doing a charcoal/pastel drawing w/ a falling figure erased out and in white charcoal. How can I show the movement of the figure and the air going past?

A. in my opinion slight vertical streaking in the "air spaces" in areas around the figure should be enough. I would also make sure the disposition of any hair/clothin on the figure sugest movement, disruption, slight wavyness to them. another trick might be if you have any details in backgroun very slightly blur them with uniform, vertical strokes

How do heat flow and movement of material within Earth move the continents and cause earthquakes?
Q. My science teacher assigned a question to everyone is this is what i wound up with. Another thing that i need to write about which i couldnt fit, is how do heat flow and movement create mountains? I need to write a paragraph about this subject and I would really aprecciate some help, thanks.

A. The theory of plate tectonics can explain all this phenomenon. Convection cells in the mantle (cold magma sinking and warm magma rising), moves the plates and creates mid-ocean ridges where they spread apart and new ocean is forming, like in the center of the growing Atlantic Ocean. Subduction zones where more dense thin ocean crust sinks under continental crust, an example of this would be the Argentinian coast where the Pacific Plate is moving under the Andes mountains. The plates can also move beside one another like on the coast of California causing all the earthquakes. Mountains are created when two continental plates collide and since they are relatively the same density neither wants to sink and a mountain starts to rise, like… [cont.]

A. Reputation or marketing skills. It's all salesmanship. Any company could put out a quality product if it wanted to. Many companies take more pride in putting out a good product while some don't seem to care. A company that consistantly puts out a good product will acquire a good reputation. A company that advertises a lot about it's good quality product will also sway buyers.
