From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A professional is a member of a vocation founded upon specialised educational training. The word professional traditionally means a person who has obtained a professional (doctoral) level degree. The term professional is used more generally to denote a white collar working person, or a person who performs commercially in a field typically reserved for hobbyists or amateurs. In western nations, such as the United States, the term commonly describes highly educated, mostly salaried workers, who enjoy considerable work autonomy, economic security, a comfortable salary, and are commonly engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work.. Less technically, it may also refer to a person having impressive competence in a particular activity. WorkDefinitionMain criteria for professional include the following:

GNU Free Documentation License How do professional tennis players pick the balls which they are going to use for their serve? Q. Professional tennis players seem to know which balls immediately they are going to use for service by just holding them in one hand. What is the basis for their decision. To the ordinary person it seems that all the balls look the same. Asked by romytf - Sun Sep 9 18:38:48 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. They choose a ball with less flattening of the knap (the outer fibre) because this will fly through the air quicker than one already flattened by being struck by the racket. Answered by jet-set - Sun Sep 9 18:44:37 2007 How can I take professional wedding photos? Q. I've been asked to take photos at a friends wedding reception. I'm not a professional photographer, but I do enjoy photography and have a Canon 20D camera with the standard 18x55 Canon lens, and a 28x200mm Zoom lens. I don't have any additional flash equipment, just what I stated here. The reception will be at dusk/night time. I want to get mainly candids, but I'd like them to be as professional as possible. Any tips or suggestions to think about? ...if I needed to purchase additional equipment, this is possible, but I can't afford $2000 lenses. You get the idea. ..just so everyone knows, they're not expecting miracles, and neither am I. I could just use some camera settings to try so I can get some decent shots in the light I have… [cont.] Asked by TopDrivingGames.com - Wed Jun 20 19:55:58 2007 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. Shooting at dusk/night is a hard task for a novice wedding photographer.. It is very unlikely that you will get images that look truly professional, but you can give it your best effort. Just make sure the couple understand what they are getting, and make sure your friendship will be all right if the photos aren't. First. get a Canon flash, and a bracket if you can to reduce red eye. If you can't afford a fast f/2.8 zoom, then use the lenses you have. The 18-55 will probably be the most useful and have the best image quality, although I am not familiar with Canon lenses, but definitely the 18 end will be necessary. Is it indoors or out? Visit the venue before hand if possible. Take someone with you and practice a few shots.… [cont.] Answered by Ara57 - Thu Jun 21 11:16:54 2007 What are good professional animators to create cartoons?
Q. I want to start creating a funny cartoon series for revenue on YouTube. What are some professional 3d or 2d animation programs? Free or not, as long as it's good and legit. Asked by Philosopher - Thu Apr 24 23:39:59 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. As far as 3D programs go, Maya seems to be the industry standard. It's a large program with a steep learning curve, and it's very expensive. A free open source alternative would be Blender. As far as 2D goes, the more professional programs are Digicel Flipbook, Toon Boom, TVPaint and PAP. However, the pro versions are once again expensive. IF you look hard enough (ra pidshare, bito rrent) you should be able to find cracked versions online. There are some free alternatives as well. If you're doing old school drawn on paper frame by frame stuff or stop-motion or 2D, I'd suggest MonkeyJam. It's free. If you're on a Mac, use Pencil. If you want to do Flash animation like the stuff on Newgrounds.com, either use Adobe Flash or… [cont.] Answered by Dead End - Fri Apr 25 22:48:30 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "professional" Jackson to become professional referee
