Reverse

Is Reverse Cowgirl uncomfortable for women of, how should I put this, generous proportions?
Q. I've always been under the impression that Reverse Cowgirl is a desirable position for women because of the amount of control they have but my wife of 8 years says she finds it unpleasurable. Our sex life has become mechanical and robotic. I apologize for the details but it's always missionary and then maybe, if I'm lucky, doggy style. I need variety. Have you ever heard of such a thing or do you think something may be wrong?

A. Everyone is different, what feels great for one woman could be extremely painful for another. I've found this position to be uncomfortable as well, your wife isn't crazy :) I've been married 10 years and I know how hard it can be sometimes to keep things exciting and new. The very best thing you can do is discuss it together. Be open and honest. Tell her how you feel. There are an infinite number of positions to spice things up. Buy a Karma Sutra book and look at it together, at a neutral time. The last thing you want to do is pull out a book during sex and tell her that's what you want. How to make my sewing machine go in reverse?
Q. I have my grandmother's sewing machine, which is an old Senger from the 40s or 50s. The machine works great, but I cannot figure out how to make it feed in reverse. I don't have the manual and my grandmother is no longer living. Do old sewing machines even have a reverse setting or should I just do it manually?

A. It may or may not have reverse, most did. Look on the main part of the machine. My mothers old machine had a "switch" that you pushed down for reverse and left up for forward. It was located on the main body of the machine on the left side just before the thread and needle area. Hope this helps. Do you have a local fabric store that sells sewing machines? Take a picture or the machine itself there and they might be able to help you find the reverse.
